PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: Southwark Heritage Centre, London

Project managed the heritage elements of the new Southwark Heritage Centre and Walworth Library (capital project) including Permanent Museum, Temporary Exhibition and Embedded objects in Library Cases at the centre of Elephant Park.

  • Led and project managed the heritage elements of a new museum, temporary exhibition space and collections embedded in library cases in a purpose-built site in Elephant & Castle.

  • Supported with the interpretation for the permanent museum display.

  • Commissioned and project managed of a community-led temporary exhibition called ‘Southwark Today’ to build on new stories of residents living in Southwark.

  • Innovative methods to display and update Southwark Council’s collections and history across the new site including: a ‘Faraday Room’ tech-free space, Collections embedded across the library cases and a ‘World Wall’ displaying the diverse range of items relating to and representing people in Southwark today.
